Business Analyst PEGA

Contract position located in Trenton, NJ.

About the role

The PEGA Business Architect will participate on teams consisting of developers, SMEs, and stakeholders to convert business requirements, process flows, use cases, and supporting integration documents into a fully functional application that meets user needs.

The Pega Business Architect acts as a liaison between business users, stakeholders, and technologists, working with the Lead System Architect and Leadership team to jointly chart business and technical strategies. This position offers the opportunity to exercise a variety of skill sets while participating in software development and systems integration projects for a wide range of users and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in requirements gathering, tracking, and analysis, with the ability to communicate information to both technical and non-technical professionals. The primary function involves evaluating user needs and developing and implementing technological solutions to address them.

Experience

• 6 or more years of relevant work experience
• Minimum of 4 years of related business analysis experience
• Minimum of 4 years of Use Case Development experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a PEGA Business Architect
• Broad experience in an organization that develops and delivers software to customers
• Experience managing software functional requirements throughout the SDLC
• Participation in an Agile software development environment
• Experience working with users/stakeholders to understand and capture software solution needs
• Experience with configuration and deployment of software solutions at the enterprise level
• Experience documenting requirements, test cases, and training material

Responsibilities

• Act as the liaison between Business and Technology teams, translating between technical and non-technical team members
• Work closely with Business Product Owners, Stakeholders, ATCSU, and Lead Business Analysts to gather user stories and translate them into business requirements
• Understand the business vision and translate it into Technology impacts/solutions
• Work with Technology teams to develop solutions that meet Business needs
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to projects
• Perform multiple roles as needed during the course of the project
• Partner with internal stakeholders and customers to understand business problems to be solved
• Capture functional software requirements and translate them into user stories
• Coordinate with Product Manager and stakeholders to facilitate backlog reviews
• Participate in Agile software development sprints and sprint planning activities
• Assist Agile teams and processes as necessary
• Define solution acceptance criteria and assist in software testing
• Publish software release notes and maintain other product documentation
• Develop and maintain solution training material
• Integrate best practices into current working procedures
• Participate in and provide support to customer success teams
• Create wireframe designs for functional requirements
• Conduct process and product training as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship skills

• IT technical background a plus

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree
• Certification in PEGA is desired but not required
