Business Analyst III
About the role
The Business Analyst partners with business and technology stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business needs, ensuring the delivery of effective, compliant, and scalable system solutions. This role focuses on translating business requirements into clear functional specifications while supporting process improvement initiatives and system enhancements that align with Guardian’s enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements that support strategic and operational goals.
Contribute to the design and improvement of business processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
Develop and maintain comprehensive requirements and analysis artifacts, including:
- Process flows and workflow diagrams
- Use cases, business rules, and supporting specifications
- System access matrices, configuration documentation, and setup data
Support solution delivery by defining test scope, developing test scenarios, and participating in system and user acceptance testing.
Serve as a liaison between business partners and technology teams to ensure shared understanding of business processes, priorities, and requirements.
Participate in reviews of team deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to Guardian documentation standards.
Communicate analysis findings and recommendations through clear, concise presentations and decision-support materials.
Work independently on moderately complex initiatives and contribute to or lead defined components of larger or more complex projects.
Qualifications
Demonstrates in-depth practical and conceptual knowledge within the Business Analysis discipline.
Applies independent judgment and seasoned experience to solve complex business and system problems.
Operates with broad direction and accountability, exercising autonomy in day-to-day responsibilities.
Serves as a resource and informal mentor to colleagues with less experience.
Represents a senior individual contributor role where professional growth may focus on deepening expertise and impact.
Skills
Working knowledge of supported systems and how they interface with related enterprise systems.
