About The Role
The Corporate Business Analyst II at Alfa Insurance® plays a vital role in supporting the company's strategic technology initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of projects that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between various stakeholders, including business units and IT teams, to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Involved in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), the analyst will analyze business processes, document workflows, and assist in the design and implementation of software solutions. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to collaboration within a fast-paced environment. The position allows for remote work in select states, with occasional travel to the Montgomery headquarters as needed.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree from an accredited institution
- Certifications: CCBA or CBAP preferred
- Experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, particularly in underwriting, billing, or claims departments
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to conduct effective presentations to large groups
- Ability to work remotely in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia
- Willingness to travel to Montgomery headquarters for meetings and training sessions as required
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of strategic technology initiatives aligned with company goals
- Participate actively in the SDLC, analyzing requirements, creating workflow diagrams, and understanding system capabilities
- Write detailed specifications and documentation for system enhancements and new solutions
- Collaborate with scrum teams, including product owners, developers, and QA staff, to ensure project success
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to facilitate clear communication and understanding
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within business operations
- Assist in testing and validation of system changes to ensure quality and functionality
- Provide ongoing support and training to end-users as needed
