Summary
NYPA is seeking a Business Analyst to advance digital platforms and capabilities. The role involves working with business and technical stakeholders to identify needs, translate them into actionable requirements, and support NYPA's VISION2030 strategy.
Responsibilities
- Independently create business, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements and specifications, as well as test strategies, scenarios, and scripts.
- Develop project artifacts such as RACI and handover documents, weekly status reports, meeting agendas, materials, and minutes.
- Collaborate across multiple teams, triage and troubleshoot issues, and review end user quality metrics.
- Set up and maintain BA tools, work closely with IT and vendors, and ensure tools are available and functioning properly.
- Continuously improve and streamline BA procedures, collaborate with BACOE lead to develop Business Analysis frameworks, standards, governance, and procedures, and support and develop other BA’s through mentorship and coaching.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced experience developing business, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements and specifications.
- Experience with requirements specification and development techniques such as JAD/RAD sessions, use case development, etc., and gathering data requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid Project Methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments.
Education, Experience and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, in computer science or information systems degree preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of applicable experience, preferably on IT projects including cloud computing and data integration.
- Certification in Business Analysis and Agile, DevOps preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Approximately 20% travel, primarily within NY State.
Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is: $110,000-$137,000. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
