Business Analyst

About the role

The Level 3 Business Analyst will work with the Department of Health (DOH) to clarify requirements, validate proposed designs, and resolve issues related to the development and implementation of an integrated Healthcare Associated Infections monitoring and management system.

Responsibilities

• Work with DOH to clarify requirements, validate proposed designs, and resolve issues prior to, during, and after implementation of the Bureau of Healthcare Associated Infections Surveillance and Outbreak Management System.
• Advises the development and testing teams on implementing DOH requirements, supports DOH stakeholders in the testing and usage of the application.
• Develops requirements traceability documents, design mock-ups, test plans, scenarios, and test cases which will exercise the business, functional, and technical requirements of the system.
• Identifies and logs technical and functional software defects.
• Keeps up to date with standards and requirements of software requirements, design and quality assurance as stipulated by software testing authorities.

Requirements

• This position requires at least a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 6 years' experience as a Business Analyst working on software enhancements or new application development projects, gathering and prioritizing business requirements with users and documenting business requirements.
• 6 years' experience with analysis and documentation of complex business rules, workflow processes, and re-engineering business processes.
• 6 years' experience leading meetings and facilitating requirements sessions with business/program subject matter experts including functional requirements, non-functional requirements, and security requirements.
• 6 years' business analysis experience with all phases of application development including requirements analysis, design and development, testing, and maintenance of complex systems and reports.
• 6 years' experience with creating and developing documentation: business requirements, business and system process flows, swim lane diagrams, use cases, user interface mockups, user documentation, and technical specifications.
• 6 years' experience with Visio, Balsamiq, and/or other tools for creating and maintaining process flows and wireframes.

Qualifications
