About the role

This role supports an Agile team delivering capabilities for an enterprise financial software system and web application. Key responsibilities include translating business and system needs into clear requirements, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support Agile team in delivering capabilities for enterprise financial software system and web application.
  • Translate business and system needs into clear requirements, user stories, and documentation.
  • Analyze business systems, user needs, and operational processes to develop clear requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, and supporting documentation.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions to clarify scope, confirm priorities, and translate requirements into actionable work for development teams.
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and prioritization in partnership with the Product Owner and Scrum Master.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including functional specifications, data flows, test scenarios, requirements traceability, wireframes, mockups, and status materials.
  • Present requirements, product features, metrics, and project updates to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Cook up and maintain documentation, including functional specifications, data flows, test scenarios, requirements traceability, wireframes, mockups, and status materials.
  • Coordinate with program, project, architecture, technical, and delivery teams to support Agile execution across a large program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Three (3) or more years of Business Analyst experience supporting Agile software development or technology implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle and project management practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Able to manage competing priorities while balancing strategic objectives with detailed requirements.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence to support Agile delivery, backlog management, and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or a comparable diagramming tool.
  • Experience with federal systems, programs, or technology modernization initiatives in a consulting or client-facing environment.
  • Familiarity with IT architecture, governance, data exchange, and enterprise system integration concepts.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST" clearance.

Skills

  • Experience supporting pilot-phase implementations, including customer engagement, requirements definition, user readiness, and delivery support.
  • Experience with federal systems, programs, or technology modernization initiatives in a consulting or client-facing environment.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives across technical, functional, program, and customer stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with IT architecture, governance, data exchange, and enterprise system integration concepts.

Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $61,000.00-$101,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is typically full-time, with occasional travel up to 10%.
