About the role
The AMA is transitioning from custom software development to procuring software that meets business needs. This requires the Business Analyst to be comfortable with understanding the contract, the business, and the requirements. The Business Analyst will collaborate with a dynamic team, supporting business areas, vendors, and the PMO vendor.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve artifacts related to the program, project, or software
- Understand the contract and verify that contract requirements are met
- Work with multiple vendors and teams to support business areas
- Interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Provide business and requirements oversight
- Support multiple software development methodologies or software configuration activities
- Aid with CMS reporting and certification process
- Manage project assets, communications, and track items to completion
- Identify and report on abnormalities or variances
- Build rapport with diverse groups through excellent interpersonal skills
- Manage complexity and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Manage multiple conflicting priorities and deliverables
Requirements
- 7 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst with 3 years in business process modeling and management
- 5 years of experience in MMIS or domain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or major health care payers
- 2 years of experience with multi-vendor projects
- Expert/Advanced experience in using tools like Visio, MS Project, Office 365, Webex/Teams
