About the role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Hartford, CT. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to gather, analyze, and drive requirements through the full delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements
- Create high-quality documentation, including user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and reports
- Translate business needs into clear, structured user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to ensure alignment between business and technology teams
- Manage and maintain product backlogs, including backlog grooming and prioritization
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Utilize tools like Jira and Confluence for requirement management, documentation, and tracking progress
- Prepare detailed documentation including requirement documents, status reports, and process workflows
- Support delivery teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure requirements are well understood and accurately implemented
- Coordinate with engineering teams to understand release processes and ensure smooth delivery cycles
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise environments
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for requirement and backlog management
- Proven ability to create high-quality documentation, including user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as: Jenkins, Argo CD, Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of software release cycles and DevOps practices (coordination-level knowledge; no coding required)
