Job Description

The client is located in Phoenix, AZ and is seeking a Business Analyst for a 6-month position with the option of extension. The position requires excellent communication skills and experience working on SCRUM teams in Agile environments.

Job Duties

• Understand business units and their goals and dependencies
• Support development teams in clarifying requirements
• Create business process maps, workflows, use cases, and other documentation
• Develop Agile Product Backlog items and facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning
• Identify and suggest feature requirements
• Communicate complex requirements across systems and business domains

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of business processes and IT system applications
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Understanding of lean methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
• Problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Customer service principles and practices
• Discretion, confidentiality, and maintaining stability under pressure

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Scrum certification and IIBA certification preferred
• Knowledge of current Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, VB.NET, ASP.Net, SharePoint) preferred
