Business Adjunct

About the role

The College of Business at Oklahoma Christian University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach courses in various business disciplines. These positions are part-time and are typically one or two courses per semester, with the possibility of recurring assignments.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons, develop assignments and activities
• Grade and return student work
• Hold classes as scheduled by the University
• Organize office hours
• Answer emails promptly
• Administer course evaluations
• Meet college deadlines
• Show confidence in teaching and presenting to a class
• Show proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Show technological savvy
• Show passion for specific academic fields and education in general
• Show understanding of curriculum design, pedagogy, and learning outcome alignment
• Show creativity, initiative, and effective problem-solving skills
• Show tact and diplomacy

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in a business-related field preferred
• A master’s degree with extensive industry experience in management may be considered
• Demonstrated ability and experience to teach graduate courses both in the classroom and online
• Demonstrated commitment and ability to communicate and positively engage students and colleagues from all backgrounds
• Active member of a local church
• Available for morning, afternoon, and/or evening sessions as assigned
• Requires interaction with supervisors, colleagues, and students

Benefits

Adjunct appointments are part-time and made on a semester-by-semester basis. Salary is commensurate with degree level.
