Bushing Welding Operator - TIG / Alloy

About the role

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for hourly production team member positions in our Columbia, South Carolina manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, following standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Possesses experience in TIG welding of alloy metals.
• (Preferred) Fuse welding experience.
• Manage loss of platinum alloy due to the welding process.
• Use small hand tools for cleaning and fitting alloy pieces prior to welding.
• Place parts in jigs or holding fixtures to be welded.
• Aid other team members with assembly, shaping, drilling and leak testing.
• Responsible for the overall safety, quantity, and quality of production.
• Must meet pre-requisites prior to welding.
• Fitter position will transition into welder position.
• Welding test administered on-site after successful in-person interview.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age and have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work any shift (Primary Shift is Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm).
• TIG welding of alloy metals (1 year on-the-job experience required).
• (Preferred) Fuse welding experience.
• Flexibility to work overtime as scheduled, including weekends and holidays.

• Must be able to read blueprints.

• Must be able to use small hand tools for cleaning and fitting alloy pieces prior to welding.
• Must be able to assist other team members with assembly, shaping, drilling and leak testing.

Pay

$22.75/hr (first 90 days) to $23.25/hr (after 90 days).

Schedule

Normal business hours, but may include overtime, weekends, and holidays.
