Responsibilities

• Act as the front-line point of contact to ensure delivery of quality customer service.
• Safely operate several types of buses through light to heavy city and freeway traffic.
• Transport passengers safely and courteously according to specified routes, making only designated stops unless otherwise directed by Dispatch.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws regarding bus operation, traffic, and safety.
• Deliver the highest quality of bus service to customers.
• Assist customers in a safe, friendly, courteous, and helpful manner, including helping those with disabilities on and off the wheelchair lift and assisting with safety restraints as requested.
• Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents.
• Comply with all company safety rules and operate assigned vehicles to meet customer standards.
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including farebox, lift, radio, emergency equipment, hatches, and rear engine compartment door.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and complete DVIR in accordance with FMCSR to ensure the bus and equipment are in safe, proper working condition.
• Coordinate detour, accident, and incident information with radio dispatch and respond to instructions.
• Make effective independent decisions and manage conflicts based on safety, experience, training, and policies.
• Follow procedures for fare collection, processing, documentation, and passenger counting.
• Report and properly follow up on all accidents or unusual incidents involving RATP Dev vehicles.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age or older.
• Pass a DOT Physical exam.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid South Carolina Class B CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements.

Pay

$25.00/hour with a $2,500 sign-on bonus available.
