About the Role

The Bus Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety of students by providing supervisory monitoring of students during transportation to and from school and on trips. Bus Monitors particularly ensure the safety of our youngest scholars (i.e., Pre-Kindergarten students) and special education scholars.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and orderly environment for students during transportation.
  • Supervise students loading and unloading the bus/van and during transportation.
  • Provide other support as requested, to ensure safe and efficient school operations at all times.

Requirements

  • Enjoys working with children.
  • Manages students in a firm and fair manner.
  • Strong communication skills with students and staff.
  • Flexibility to change.
  • Promptness and dependability.
  • Ability to learn systems and procedures quickly.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma.
  • Experience working with students (preferred).

Pay

Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate of $10.00.

Schedule

This role is part-time.
