Bus Monitor

About the role

The Hermon School Department seeks 2 bus monitors to assist with student transportation within and outside the district. The primary responsibilities include ensuring student safety and maintaining appropriate behavior during transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students during transportation to ensure safety and proper behavior.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures related to student transportation.

Requirements

• A Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) Approval is required.
• Experience with children and knowledge of child development is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on the schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.
