About the role
The Bus Monitor assists in the safe transport of students by maintaining order and ensuring adherence to safety protocols on the school bus.
Responsibilities
- Student Support and Supervision (75%): Assist students on and off the bus, Monitor behavior and ensure safety, Support students with special needs
- Communication and Reporting (20%): Report concerns to driver and transportation staff, Maintain clear communication with school officials
- Other Responsibilities (5%): Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation
Requirements
- Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED, Experience working with children, Ability to follow safety protocols
- Minimum Requirements: All employees hired by the school district must pass a criminal background and child abuse registry check.
