Bus Mechanic

Avalon Transportation is hiring skilled Diesel Bus Mechanic A & B Technicians to maintain and repair our fleet of motorcoaches. You will ensure that our buses are safe, reliable, and fully operational for customer use.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems
• Complete preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Accurately maintain records of all work performed
• Conduct test drives to ensure repairs are effective

Requirements

• Will consider trade school training
• Must have a personal mechanic tool set
• Subject to drug testing and physical exam as per DOT regulations
• CDL (Required)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and take instruction both verbally and written
• Must use manual dexterity and body coordination to perform various tasks
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on occasion
• 3+ years of experience in diesel or automotive repair
• Basic computer skills (or able to be trained)
