About the role
WeDriveU is the leader in shared mobility solutions that connect communities, campuses, and workplaces. We operate private shuttle and public transit systems across the U.S., serving millions of passenger journeys a year. This is a seasonal part-time position with a $1000 sign-on bonus.
The Coach Operator is responsible for following safety protocol, schedules, and pre-determined routes to transport corporate employees between various stops.
Responsibilities
- Exceptional attendance and punctuality
- Accurately complete vehicle safety checks and escalate any issues
- Compliance with all traffic laws, and federal and state transit regulations
- Interact with customers and our central dispatch team and managers in a professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service and support to all riders, including answering questions about schedules, routes, transfer points, and delays
- Promptly report vehicle maintenance, road and route concerns, accidents, and other traffic disruptions using two-way radios or hands-free devices

Requirements
- Clean driving record
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A or B required
- Passenger endorsement
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED (preferred)
- At least 1 year of driving experience (preferred)
Skills
- Use route navigation apps and other technology, including knowledge of the area to pick up and drop off customers
- Maintain electronic logs to track routes and incidents
- Ability to safely operate and drive without a break for a minimum period of one hour and forty-five minutes
- Ability to drive in fluctuating weather and terrain
- Flexible schedule to work outside of regular days and shifts
- Comfortable working a split shift schedule
- Ability to lift 45 pounds or more to assist with loading and unloading ADA passengers
