Bus Driver - Shuttle Driver - CDL - Non-airbrake

Duties And Responsibilities

• Exceptional attendance and punctuality
• Accurately complete vehicle safety checks and escalate any issues
• Compliance with all traffic laws, and federal and state transit regulations
• Interact with customers and our central dispatch team and managers in a professional manner
• Provide excellent customer service and support to all riders, i.e., answer questions about schedules, routes, transfer points, and delays
• Promptly report vehicle maintenance, road and route concerns, accidents, and other traffic disruptions using two-way radios or hands-free devices

Skills Required And Physical Demands

• Use route navigation apps, and other technology, including knowledge of area to pick up and drop off our customers
• Maintain electronic logs to track routes and incidents
• Safety and reliability of transportation services
• Ability to safely operate and drive without a break for a minimum period of one hour and forty-five minutes
• Ability to drive in fluctuating weather and terrain
• Flexible scheduled to work outside of regular days and shifts
• Comfortable working a split shift schedule
• Ability to lift 45 pounds or more to assist with loading and unloading ADA passengers

Education And Qualifications

• Hard Requirements: Clean driving record, Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A or B required, Passenger endorsement, Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
• Preferred Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, At least 1 year of driving experience
