Bus Driver -Preschool

About the role

Children of America (COA) has been a trusted leader in early childhood education for over 18 years, providing safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environments for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Programs include Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre‑K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp. As a Bus Driver, you play a vital role in safely transporting children while supporting our mission to enhance their developmental growth and learning experiences.

You’ll interact with:

• Children
• Parents
• School Directors and Management
• Teaching Staff

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children in a bus or van between educational programs
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and ensure vehicle functionality
• Implement company safety procedures with guidance from the School Director
• Exhibit care, compassion, and patience with children
• Provide a nurturing and safe transportation experience
• Represent COA positively with children, families, and staff

Requirements

• CDL with a Passenger Endorsement
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of state and local transportation regulations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexible with hours and work schedule
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Pay

Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 (based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity). This role may also be eligible for performance‑based incentives and additional benefits.
