Bus Associate 25-26

We strive to hire humble, hungry and people-smart bus associates to facilitate the safe transportation of students. We want to enable students to enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district’s curriculum and extracurricular programs.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday 6:45–9:00 AM; 1:30–4:00 PM and Friday 6:45–9:00 AM; 12:45–2:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to learn about and ensure student safety
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Punctual
• Consistently reports to work
• Completed required trainings before interacting with students

Responsibilities

• Supervises students and works with a wide range of various needs, including physical, behavioral and social
• Ensures students follow bus safety guidelines before, during and after transport
• Guides each student toward making appropriate choices and accepting responsibility for their own behavior
• Alerts the bus driver and transportation director to any problem or special information regarding an individual student
• Consistent reporting to work, adhering to scheduled shift times and notifying the transportation director of any absences or lateness
