We are looking for a Business Analyst Consultant to support enterprise business initiatives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, or through telecommuting arrangements. This Long-term Contract position focuses on partnering with stakeholders to define business needs, improve operational processes, and support large-scale ERP-related initiatives. The role combines business analysis, data validation, testing, and cross-functional coordination to help ensure smooth implementation and sustained adoption of new solutions. Responsibilities: • Partner with business leaders and operational teams to clarify objectives, define functional needs, and translate those needs into actionable business requirements. • Examine existing workflows to uncover gaps, risks, and inefficiencies, then recommend practical improvements to processes or system functionality. • Prepare, review, and validate large volumes of business data to support migration activities and maintain data quality throughout implementation efforts. • Coordinate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate updates, align expectations, and support organizational readiness for change. • Guide initiatives from discovery and planning through rollout and stabilization, ensuring deliverables remain aligned with business priorities. • Investigate application or process issues, determine underlying causes, and propose solutions that improve performance and operational reliability. • Execute functional and user-focused testing activities, document outcomes, and confirm that enhancements meet business expectations. • Create process documentation, future-state workflow models, training materials, and end-user guidance to support adoption of updated tools and procedures. • Contribute to Agile team routines such as planning sessions, daily collaboration meetings, retrospectives, and solution demonstrations. • Experience working as a Business Analyst in complex enterprise environments with responsibility for requirements gathering, process analysis, and stakeholder engagement. • Strong understanding of order-to-cash functions such as billing, accounts receivable, cash application, revenue-related processes, or related financial operations. • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets using tools such as Microsoft Excel and apply findings to reporting, validation, or process decisions. • Background supporting ERP platforms, including functional testing, implementation support, and business process documentation. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to both business users and technical teams. • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess risk, business impact, and operational considerations when recommending actions. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, for documentation, reporting, and presentation development.
