Burning Table Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and program CNC plasma burning tables, including loading and unloading plates and nesting parts.
• Prepare machines for production by setting up plates, positioning torches, and ensuring proper alignment.
• Review and interpret job orders and technical drawings to produce accurate parts.
• Regulate processes and maintain job specifications by setting and adjusting machine controls.
• Safely operate all equipment including cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other material handling devices.
• Ensure quality standards are met by monitoring output and conducting inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to meet production goals.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and programming CNC plasma cutting machines.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and job orders.
• Ability to safely operate cranes, hoists, and material handling devices.
• Proficient in reading a tape measure and performing basic math calculations.
• Strong attention to detail, with ability to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Knowledge of Messer Burn Tables preferred.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with CNC programming software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
