Burn Table Operator

Duties And Responsibilities

• Read prints and check for errors.
• Positions work piece onto table or into fixture with jib or overhead crane.
• Coincides proper programming with CNC controls, making changes, or recommendations for changes as needed.
• Lays out and burns/cuts metal.
• Identifies and numbers material for fabrication, as well as material to be sent out for further machining.
• Operates overhead crane and/or forklift as needed.
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a CNC machine operator with burn table experience or other related CNC machine operator in a heavy industry.
• Must be familiar with and able to read/interpret blueprints.
• Experience operating a forklift and/or overhead crane required.
• Good knowledge of and experience working with steel.
• Able to load and unload material to and from the burn table.
• Able to commit to flexible schedule and prompt arrival for shifts.
