Burn Plasma/Laser Programmer Lead

Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC plasma and laser burn table equipment
- Review blueprints, drawings, and bill of materials to determine material and equipment requirements
- Set up machines and ensure parts are cut accurately and within required tolerances
- Maintain and troubleshoot burn table equipment as needed
- Use forklifts and cranes to load and unload materials safely
- Perform deburring and finishing work using hand and power tools
- Train and support operators across all skill levels
- Clock workflow priorities with production and department leadership
- Aid with department scheduling, productivity, and budget support
- Lead by example in safety, quality, and overall team performance
- Support performance feedback and employee development with Production Manager
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of CNC plasma/laser programming and burn table operation experience
- Strong experience with burn table programming and nesting software (Sigma Nest, Messer, Amada, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and bills of material
- Experience maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards in manufacturing
- Prior leadership or lead operator experience preferred
- Forklift certification required
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Strong math, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
