About the role
The Bulk Unloader/Loader assists production and the warehouse in running efficiently by receiving, loading, and unloading bulk flour from railroads and depositing it in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Receive paperwork on incoming product from the truck driver.
- Break seal and take sample to lab for product verification.
- Hook the truck up properly to unload product.
- Unload product through the sifter house into the silo.
- Verify the truck is unloaded properly into the correct silo.
- Complete and maintain paperwork as needed.
- Follow safety and sanitation rules.
- Keep area and sifter house clean.
- Help clean the silos as needed.
- Ensure production areas do not run out of flour and complete paperwork at shift change.
- Receive and unload bulk flour from rail cars and bulk trucks.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Highly organized.
- Able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Constant standing, lifting, and moving product for the majority of the day.
- Expertise in production operations, including organizing, troubleshooting, implementing, training, and administering production, safety, and quality principles.
Work Environment
- Exposure to loud environments, airborne particles, and strong odors associated with spicy food ingredients.
- Work in cold, hot, wet, and humid conditions.
- Walking and standing on concrete for 8 to 12 hours a day, up to 6 days a week.
- Climbing steps, ladders, and working on elevated surfaces.
- Regularly lifting 50 to 100 lbs.
Schedule
1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
