Bulk Mill Operator

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Huber Sustainability Management Standard requirements.
• Monitor equipment for visible emissions and report them.
• Report spills, incidents, and near hits to Manager and input into Enablon.
• Conduct daily mill area inspections and report unsafe conditions.
• Operate mills, record data, and prepare daily operation reports.
• Load bulk trucks and railcars according to specified orders.
• Obtain in-process and final product samples as per DP409001 guidelines.
• Communicate with Production Supervisor and QC Lab Technician as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and isolate energy sources before repairs.
• Assist with shipping activities as required.
• Consult with Maintenance personnel to resolve issues and submit work orders.
• Notify Production Supervisor of any issues impacting confirmed customer ship dates.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and adhere to ISO 9001 guidelines.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge Or Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years industrial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer skills with Oracle and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to operate a forklift and maintain certification.
• Willingness to work safely and comply with OSHA, IATA & IMDG regulations.
• Basic mathematical calculations with the use of a calculator if needed.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Thorough knowledge of mill operations and equipment.
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. consistently.

Physical Requirements

• Works inside and outside in various plant areas.
• Exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather, grease, oil, product spillages, and dirty conditions.
• Knowledge of plant milling system equipment on multiple levels.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl.
• Work in dusty environments with varying temperatures and humidity.
• Work with various chemicals.
