Responsibilities
- Operate milling equipment at optimum levels to ensure designated quality and extraction levels
- Monitor regrind system and work with packaging personnel to keep the system running efficiently
- Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule and HACCP documentation
- Perform duties and responsibilities of the Grain Receiver/Loader position on an as-needed basis
- Proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Must successfully complete IAOM correspondence course in Milling Science within one year of beginning role as Mill Operator
- PREFERRED: Excellent written and verbal communication, and computer skills
- PREFERRED: 2+ years in manufacturing environment with wheat milling experience
- PREFERRED: Mechanical ability to operate and maintain milling equipment
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Crouch, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods
- Work in dusty, high heat/humidity environments and confined spaces
- Willing to wear a respirator as needed
- Make fine distinctions by sound
- Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually
Schedule
- Rotating Days
- Shift: Rotating, 6am-6pm & 6am-6pm
Starting Pay
$20/hr
