Bulk Manager

Overview

The Bulk Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market oversees the maintenance, packing, and stocking of all bulk foods featured at Sprouts. This role involves following the merchandising Bulk plan, ensuring proper packaging and scaling of bulk items, and maintaining inventory and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Follow the merchandising Bulk plan and ensure proper packaging and scaling of bulk items.
• Fulfill inventory orders and maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, Weights & Measures, and COOL regulations.
• Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
• Provide high-level customer service, ensuring bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented.
• Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and development discussions.
• Make recommendations for merit increases and conduct bi-annual performance reviews.
• Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
• Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience for customers.
• Act as a Key Carrier or Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed throughout the day.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1-2 years of experience in a retail grocery environment and 1 year of managerial leadership experience.
• Dependable and reliable, capable of working flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of weekly ads, product locations, and the ability to assist customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude towards Team Members and customers.
• Able to move vertically/horizontally transferring product weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4” to 36”, for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 15 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Continuous standing for up to 4 hours, for a total of 8 hours per shift.
