Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead BIQ Digital Transformation
- Prioritize the digitization of key BIQ elements and quality workflows across Generator manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and enterprise digital teams to align local solutions with enterprise standards.
- Digitize Built-In Quality Tools
- Lead the digital deployment and continuous improvement of:
- PFMEA
- Control Plans
- Layered Process Reviews (LPR)
- Pre-Flight Checklists
- Change Point Control
- Visual Management of Quality
- Quality Standard Work
- Defect Trend Management
- 8D / 4D Problem Solving
- Real-Time SPC
- Read-Across Systems
- Deploy AI-Enabled Quality Solutions
- Identify and develop AI applications that improve quality prediction, defect prevention, process monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- Pilot and scale AI solutions within the Bar Shop, Stator, Rotor, and Generator Assembly value streams.
- Partner with Digital Technology and AI teams to rapidly prototype and deploy practical manufacturing solutions.
- Drive Quality at Source
- Support implementation of Jidoka principles through intelligent monitoring and automated quality controls.
- Develop systems that detect abnormalities in real time and enable immediate corrective actions.
- Data Analytics & Visualization
- Develop dashboards and analytics solutions that provide actionable insights into defects, process capability, BIQ maturity, and CoPQ.
- Enable data-driven problem solving across production and leadership teams.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams consisting of Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Lean, and Digital Technology resources.
- Coach manufacturing teams on adoption and sustainment of new digital quality systems.
- Support replication of successful solutions across generator manufacturing operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Quality, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, lean, digital transformation, or operational excellence.
- Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives within industrial manufacturing environments.
- Experience within heavy manufacturing, power generation equipment, turbines, generators, or large industrial assembly operations.
- Experience implementing enterprise digital manufacturing systems.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with AI-enabled defect detection, predictive quality, or manufacturing analytics.
- Knowledge of GE Vernova BIQ methodology and TC maturity model.
- Quality & BIQ Expertise
- Strong understanding of quality systems, defect prevention, and Built-In Quality methodologies.
- Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, and process capability analysis.
- Manufacturing Technology & Digitization
- Demonstrated experience digitizing manufacturing or quality processes.
- Experience with MES, L2L, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, SQL databases, or related manufacturing systems.
- Experience integrating shop-floor data into operational decision-making.
- AI and Advanced Analytics
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning, computer vision, predictive analytics, or large language model applications within manufacturing.
- Experience identifying practical AI use cases and converting concepts into deployed solutions.
- Lean & Continuous Improvement
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Daily Management Systems.
- Familiarity with Toyota Production System principles and Built-In Quality concepts.
- Experience supporting operational excellence or Lean transformation initiatives.
- Leadership & Influence
- Proven ability to influence without authority and lead change across multiple functions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions.
