Building Systems Control Technician
Primary Responsibilities
- Prioritize and take appropriate actions on all Fire and BAS alarms.
- Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions.
- Perform maintenance and precise calibration of pneumatic and direct digital control devices on multiple complex building control systems.
- Make minor software and/or hardware adjustments to the BAS as required.
- Modify control system schematics and ladder logic diagrams as needed.
- Conduct an on-going self-study to maintain a high technical proficiency as related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of MCW’s critical building systems.
- Recommend HVAC and BAS design improvements.
Qualifications
- Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
- Minimum Required Education: Associate’s degree
- Minimum Required Experience: 7 years

- Knowledge of safety practices, emergency procedures, operations and maintenance, risk management, planning and evaluation.
- Task management, coordination, and problem solving.

About the Role
The position involves responding to Building Automation System (BAS) and Fire System (FS) alarms, diagnosing and repairing complex control system malfunctions, and performing maintenance on various building control systems. It also includes recommending design improvements and conducting ongoing self-study to maintain technical proficiency.
Schedule
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
