Building Structural Engineer - Intern

Join our Structural/Marine Group in our Richmond, VA office as a Building Structural Intern.

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative team of engineers and architects on a variety of challenging projects, including buildings, industrial facilities, water/wastewater plants, and waterfront facilities.
• Receive training in structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials.
• Develop concept designs and create construction documents for clients across a broad range of markets.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an ABET‑accredited Civil Engineering bachelor’s or master’s program (preferably with a Structural concentration).
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with structural design and analysis software (RISA, STAAD, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD) is a plus.

Pay

The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $21.50 – $24.50.
