Building Services Worker

Duties

• Perform housekeeping, maintenance, and other duties such as floor care (dust, mop, strip, scrub, wax, burnish and seals non-carpeted floors)
• Clean offices, classrooms, buildings, and other designated areas
• Clean equipment such as radiators, grills, intake and exhaust vents, light fixtures, handrails, mirrors, floor drains, registers, vents, floor, and stall partitions
• Polish metal and other fixtures
• Clean restrooms and replenish soap and paper goods
• Monitor assigned areas throughout the day to maintain cleanliness
• Empty and transport trash and waste to disposal area
• Remove bulk trash and recyclable items from the buildings to proper containers and replace trash receptacle liners
• Move furniture, supplies, and equipment pertinent to office and personnel relocations on and between campuses
• Assist with snow removal
• Identify and report items in need of repair

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One year cleaning experience with working knowledge of floor maintenance (stripping, waxing and buffing floors)
• Experience operating a variety of industrial cleaning and other types of equipment

Qualifications

The equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

Pay

Hiring Range: $16.54 - $20.68 hourly. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $24.81.
