Building Services Aide - Evening shift
About the role
The Building Services Aide performs housekeeping duties for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department. This position is responsible for all general cleaning tasks in maintaining an assigned area of the hospital in a clean, sanitary, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the patients, colleagues and public.
The environmental service technician promotes sanitary conditions, which prevents the spread of infection and odors. May be required to perform tasks, which involve exposure to visible blood contamination or reasonably anticipated blood contamination.
Responsibilities
- Performs all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor.
- Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in clean, orderly and good operating condition.
- Respects Hospital and Company property.
- Similar duties may also extend to the Medical Office Building, other buildings and the adjacent grounds of the Medical Center’s premises.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)
- 1 year experience (minimum)
- 2-4 years experience (preferred)
