Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Performing specialized maintenance work as required, including:
    • Operation and maintenance of heavy machinery (e.g., excavators/graders).
    • Maintenance of vehicles.
    • Basic millwork and carpentry repairs.
    • Roadways and grounds maintenance.
    • Maintenance of dock locks and levelers.
    • Maintenance of door systems.
    • Roofing repairs.
  • Delegating and directing the activities of outside contractors where needed, including setting priorities, performing quality control checks, and certifying invoices.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Completing electronic or paper-based records of maintenance tasks.
  • Planning and directing maintenance operations under supervision.
  • Solving problems for the team.
  • Instructing team members on proper maintenance techniques and providing hands-on training.

    • Qualifications

    • A high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Lift up to 50 lbs.
    • 5+ years’ experience in the maintenance field.
    • Skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and repairing or replacing faulty parts.
    • 1+ years of leadership involvement leading a maintenance support team.
    • Coordinating efforts to uphold operational standards.
    • Responding promptly to maintenance issues.
    • Blend of technical expertise and leadership skills.
    • Prioritizing tasks effectively.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Advanced organizational skills.
