Building Operating Engineer
What this job involves
As a Building Operating Engineer at JLL, you'll be the technical expert responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical building systems that keep our client's facility operating at peak performance. This hands-on role puts you in charge of ensuring that HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems run reliably and efficiently every day. You'll manage preventive maintenance programs, respond to service requests, and coordinate with contractors to deliver exceptional facility operations.

Required qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- EPA Universal certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting abilities
- Experience working with computerized work order systems and CMMS platforms
- Ability to work effectively with multiple computerized building systems and control platforms
Preferred qualifications
- A technical degree or certification in HVAC, electrical, or building systems
- BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEM (BAS) EXPERIENCE WITH PLATFORMS SUCH AS TRIDIUM, JOHNSON CONTROLS, OR SIEMENS
- EXPERIENCE IN COMMERCIAL OFFICE BUILDINGS OR SIMILAR FACILITIES
- KNOWLEDGE OF ENERGY MANAGEMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES
