About the role
The Building Manager at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, security, and overall upkeep of the library's physical space.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and order within the library premises
- Oversee daily operations including opening and closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and fire codes
- Manage staff and contractors involved in facility maintenance
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs and upgrades
- Develop and implement strategies for energy conservation and sustainability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (architecture, engineering, or library science preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building management or similar field
- Proven ability to manage budgets and oversee maintenance projects
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of building codes and safety standards
- Experience with facilities management software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Schedule
