About the role
The Location: Eagleview Middle School is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team. The position will begin on July 27, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and evaluate personnel
- Submit accurate and necessary work orders
- Monitor contracted services if required
- Perform maintenance, cleaning, and set-up requests
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the facility
- Assist with emergency plan of securing the building in crisis situations
- Assist in cafeteria and other areas during the workday
- Assist in the selection, assignment, scheduling, and training of custodial staff
- Assist students and staff with items such as lockers, doors, desks, lights, etc.
- Absorb and perform minor repairs as needed
- Absorb and perform safety drills, scenarios, and real-life situations as needed
- Absorb and assist with the management of the district chemical product management plan and updates SDS manual
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking and replacing ceiling tiles and light bulbs
- Clean hazards, including bodily fluids, spills, etc.
- Clean, dust, and straighten desks; clean counters, toilets, sinks, whiteboards, cove bases, blinds, walls, furniture, vents, windows, mirrors, carpet, floors, and other items
- Coordinate and assist in preparation for school functions
- Supervise, train, and demonstrate district-approved cleaning and restorative methods
- Ensure facilities are safe and operational for students, staff, and the community
- Manage the opening and closing of the building at appropriate times
- Maintain an inventory and recommend purchases of suitable supplies, tools, and equipment
- Maintain records and reports on inventory, equipment, and the status of current projects
- Maintain the safety of playground equipment and surfacing materials
- Monitor water, electrical, sewer, HVAC, etc. and assist in emergency shut-off as needed
- Move, relocate, and transport materials, furniture, and equipment as needed
- Mow lawns and trim and edge around walks and structures as directed
- Perform any duties as assigned associated with building upkeep including painting, and other non-routine maintenance tasks
- Perform crossing guard duties as directed
- Plan and oversee, set up, arrange, and break down equipment used for various functions at the location
- Plan and perform minor maintenance repairs to the facilities and systems and report major discrepancies
- Prepare work orders and reports and solve maintenance problems before they become emergencies
- Process internal work requests submitted by the teaching and administrative staff
- Promote an efficient building by understanding and implementing sustainability management strategies as required
- Recommend and order building painting supplies and paints accordingly
- Remove and dispose of trash in facilities and on grounds
- Report minor and major building and facility-related discrepancies or areas of need
- Review and develop cleaning standards and methods
- Sanitize rooms and facilities where applicable, including but not limited to restrooms, water fountains, gymnasiums, pools and locker rooms, etc.
- Set up for regular and special events as directed
- Sweep, vacuum, shampoo, mop, etc. floors and stairs as needed
- Work with outside vendors and local code agencies performing building maintenance functions
Qualifications
- Experience in a Custodial Service Position
- High school graduate - high school diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory Experience Preferred

Benefits
Full-time - Regular. Benefits eligibility applies.
Pay
$22.98-24.13 per hour
Schedule
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
