Building Management Systems Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce detailed design documents.
• Aid in the design of systems network topology.
• Build an understanding and ability to develop one-line detail diagrams.
• Learn how to select and specify BMS equipment.
• Absorb and meet project deadlines, including working necessary hours to complete major deliverables.
• Review and gain an understanding of local and national construction codes and project specifications.
• Be proficient in using Microsoft tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
• Travel to project sites when required (less than 10% travel).
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently while coordinating with senior personnel and other disciplines.
• Participate in training and mentoring opportunities to grow knowledge and capabilities.
• Maintain excellent organizational skills, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 2 or 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology.
• Prior HVAC construction experience with a drafting certification is considered.
• Past internship, co-op, or work experience in a consulting engineering role is advantageous.
• Experience working in the construction industry is beneficial.
• Experience using Revit in either an educational or professional context is desirable.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is advantageous.

Pay

Base Compensation: $65,000-$100,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skills, and/or location.)
