Building Maintenance Technician - Full Time

Job Duties

• Operates building equipment and utilities systems to maintain proper heat, cooling, power, water, plumbing, etc., at all times.
• Affords assistance and direction on outside service and repair work.
• Completes inspections and tests, and maintains logs and records reflecting results.
• Performs and arranges scheduled preventative maintenance and cleaning.
• Completes minor building and furniture modifications or repairs involving carpentry, painting, wiring, and overhauling.
• Fulfills assigned maintenance functions in accordance with established policies and procedures, and ADA and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Driver’s License.

Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of janitorial equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Basic understanding of the operation of electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling and plumbing equipment.
• Good mechanical and problem solving abilities.
• Well organized and able to work well independently.
• Able to coordinate well with others and professionally assist vendors as needed.
• Attentive to detail.
• Able to operate drills, electrical tools, hand tools, snow blower, and all related machinery.
