Responsibilities
- Maintain an onsite presence and travel within the assigned territory coverage area across PA and NJ, including Dingmans Ferry, Hawley, Tannersville, Mount Pocono, Pen Argyl, East Stroudsburg, Brodheadsville, and New Jersey locations such as Newton, Franklin, Hackettstown, and Flanders.
- Perform maintenance work in stores, collaborate with store management to implement new preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain and safely operate company-owned equipment, including tools, systems, vehicles, etc.
- Receive and prioritize work orders, follow up on completed work, and handle emergency repairs immediately to prevent property damage and personal injury.
- Coordinate with local contractors for major repair projects and maintenance programs.
- Assist in rapid response and resolution of emergency building/systems failures to minimize disruption, loss of sales, and spoilage of product.
- Recommend capital improvement projects to maintain efficient and effective building operations.
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs and procedures.
- Conduct store visits to ensure all maintenance projects, programs, and procedures are being followed.
- Educate store managers on the importance of planned maintenance to increase store profitability by reducing expenses.
- Participate in on-site surveys of new and remodel projects.
- Ensure assigned projects are completed according to company standards for criteria, time, cost, and quality.
- Conduct regular field inspections on assigned projects, ensuring work is performed in compliance with company standards and objectives, and take corrective action as needed.
- Provide maintenance expertise to operations and other departments in response to questions related to maintenance and repairs.
- Provide quick response and support during emergency, disaster recovery, and compliance situations.
- Continuously evaluate best practices and standards, and provide input and recommendations for criteria and process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED plus five (5) years' experience in maintenance of building systems and first-hand knowledge of the construction trades.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, and basic operations of the Service Now Call Tracking system and iPhone/iPad.
