About the role
This is a full-time, onsite position with an entry-level experience requirement (internships or 1-2 years).
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM start
- On-call every other week
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance tasks as required
- Design and construct necessary components for building remodels and projects
- Perform preventative maintenance on properties, buildings, and related equipment
- Maintain vendor information for bid requests and emergency contacts
- React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned
- Perform snow removal during the winter season
- Perform general landscaping and lawn care as necessary
- Maintain inventory of essential supplies and location-specific products for job efficiency
Requirements
- Strong technical training in building trades (e.g., carpentry)
- Building engineer experience preferred
- Computer skills for email communications and basic job-related tasks
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet hiring/retention criteria
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Dexterity and ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions
- Good communication skills
- Project management ability
- Must meet U.S. Department of Transportation medical standards
- Must pass a drug test
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Outside work in extreme weather conditions
- Heavy physical work, including walking, moving heavy objects (up to 50 lbs. unassisted, over 50 lbs. with assistance), climbing, lifting, kneeling, stooping, bending, crouching, or crawling
- Close visual acuity for manipulating small items, judging distances, and differentiating colors, shades, and brightness
- Exposure to interior environmental conditions like air conditioning and dust; minimal exposure to adverse conditions
- Manual dexterity required for repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions, including typing, grasping, and tool use
- Use of tools and machinery for building, adjusting, and repairing equipment
- Talking and hearing required for communication
- Occasional exposure to noise from telephones, office machinery, and conversations
