About the role
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the club's facilities, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for members and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on club facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory of supplies.
- Assist with set-up and breakdown for club events and functions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or projects as needed.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles used in maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in building maintenance, repairs, or a related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
