Building Maintenance Technician

About the role

Healthcare Realty Trust (NYSE:HR) is a real estate investment trust that owns, manages, and develops medical real estate nationwide. We are seeking an experienced on-site Maintenance Engineer for medical office buildings in Dallas. Licensure or trade certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned repairs and building upkeep duties (including periodic pressure washing and leaf blowing as needed)
• Conduct emergency and preventive maintenance in a timely manner
• Complete maintenance and repair records as required
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Use personal computer and smartphone for work order system and email
• Read and interpret blueprints

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in facilities maintenance
• Thorough understanding of:
  • Building Automation Systems
  • Electrical systems and controls
  • Condensing boilers
  • Package rooftop HVAC
  • Variable air volume systems
  • Chemical treatment
  • Emergency generation equipment
  • Plumbing
  • Transfer switches
  • Life safety systems
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office
• Excellent organization, verbal, written, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to read blueprints
• Takes ownership of work, is flexible, and focuses on creating a positive and welcoming impression
• Self-sufficient team player
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders
• Licensure or trade certification (preferred)
