This role is highly customer-focused, requiring quick response to tenant requests and equipment failures to ensure uninterrupted operations and comfort for building tenants at our Barrington campus.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on various facilities and production equipment, following written procedures and completing required checklists.
- Assist with facilities build-outs using construction methods and materials, including demolition, drywall framing and finishing, systems furniture assembly, painting, installation of floor coverings, and suspended ceiling systems.
- Perform basic electrical work, such as replacing lamps, LED lighting retrofits, assisting with conduit installation, pulling and terminating wire, and wiring basic electrical devices.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs, including installation of piping (copper, PVC, and iron) and repairing or installing plumbing fixtures and equipment.
- Handle lawn and landscape maintenance, including cutting grass, trimming, pruning, weeding, edging, mulch installation, and maintenance of landscape equipment.
- Perform general maintenance duties as assigned.
- Follow all company, local, state, and federal safety laws and procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to perform listed functions effectively with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and maintenance-related tools and equipment.
Skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with building tenants and coworkers.
- Versatility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong oral communication skills to present information clearly to management, coworkers, and tenants.
- Ability to prepare clear and understandable emails.
- Experience operating building maintenance tools and equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, computers, and office equipment.
Pay
$55,000 - $60,000 annually ($26.44 - $28.85 hourly).
