Building Maintenance Tech III - Full Time

Responsibilities
- Plan and execute projects from start to finish, including creating a material list and obtaining quotes, laying out the timeline, scheduling manpower, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget with minimal disruption to normal business operations.
- Maintain shop areas, spare parts areas, storage areas, inventory materials, equipment, and associated parts of various trades.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all mechanical equipment (air, plumbing, electrical).
- Troubleshoot and repair all equipment operations (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration).
- Inform supervisors of any equipment trends or recurring issues.
- Work from heights, including ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
- Assist other Facilities Technicians as required or assigned.
- Operate all tools of the trades, including power tools, and maintain them.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Perform any duties as assigned by your supervisor or a member of management.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in using all power and hand tools.
- Proficiency in welding, brazing, and soldering.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications preferred.
- Basic knowledge of general repairs, installations, and electrical repair of 120/240 single-phase, painting, wallpapering, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Qualifications
- Five years of direct experience in a desired trade.
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and training or experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair.
- Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments.
- Basic knowledge of general repairs, installations, and any electrical repair of 120/240 single-phase, painting, wall papering, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of the organization.
