Building Inspector

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections at various stages of construction to ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
• Issue permits, violation notices, and stop-work orders as necessary.
• Communicate findings clearly to homeowners, contractors, and field personnel.
• Mentor and train inspection staff to enhance team knowledge and capabilities.
• Serve as a technical resource and provide customer service support.
• Stay updated with new developments in building and safety standards.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• A State of Texas Plumbing Inspector's License.
• ICC Certifications (Commercial and Residential required).
• 3–5 years of inspection experience, preferably with municipal agencies.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
