Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties to maintain SLED facilities, ensuring a safe and secure working environment for employees.
• Coordinate and execute custodial duties in assigned areas to meet agency cleanliness standards.
• Ensure re-stocking of supplies in all SLED facilities.
• Monitor and maintain custodial equipment, notifying supervisors of deficiencies or required repairs.
• Perform light maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Supervise outside vendors at SLED facilities, particularly in security-sensitive areas.
• Ensure timely and proper execution of all required safety and preventative maintenance activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Three (3) years of professional experience in commercial property maintenance, custodial operations, and/or construction.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment and practice good housekeeping procedures.
• Skills to manage inventory of custodial supplies, including paper products and cleaning supplies.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with agency personnel.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds (lbs).

This position may require work hours outside normal business operating hours, including some weekends.
