Building Design Electrical Engineer - Denver CO
About the role
We’re seeking a Building Design Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Denver, CO office. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide. Collaborating with a team of engineers, you’ll be designing building electrical systems for a variety of building types, including airports, Federal buildings, mission critical, higher education, laboratories, and other commercial projects. You’ll also play a critical role in mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide system design calculations and other related design services.
- Coordinate with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering).
- Mentor junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- 10+ years of related electrical design experience.
- Revit experience.
- Knowledge of electrical software (SKM, ETAP, AGI 32, etc.).
- Knowledge of building codes (IECC, NFPA Code, etc.).
- Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork.
Qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $133,000.00 to $185,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy, allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
