About the role
Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager, assists in the maintenance and cleaning of all City operated facilities.
Pay
$16.89–$20.00/hour
Schedule
Part-time (benefitted), 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Facilities Manager in keeping City facilities clean and safe for employees and the visiting public.
- Operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, carpet extractors, etc.) and a wide variety of hand and power tools.
- Responsible for the care, condition, and use of materials, equipment, money, and/or tools.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; understand and follow directions.
- Use a personal computer for word processing and other applicable applications (desirable).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of experience in custodial or related duties; may substitute any combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety practices, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- One-year probationary period is required.
- Must pass a drug test before hire.
