Building Custodian

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by means of sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash and recycle regularly.
• Service, clean and supply restrooms and kitchen areas.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves and refrigerators.
• Clean, polish and dust furniture and fixtures.
• Wash accessible interior windows.
• Always use proper Personal Protective Equipment.
• Notify manager of the need for repairs.
• Request supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
• Adhere to ISO process flows.
• Attend and participate in all required training and meetings.
• Maintain a neat, clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ janitorial experience is required.
• Ability to mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Must have sufficient written and oral communication, math and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay

• This position is full-time, salary, exempt.
• Compensation typically follows industry median for Northeast Ohio/the Great Lakes region.
• You may be eligible for an annual bonus.

Schedule

• This is a full-time position.
